Fall is a great time of year, because of the cooler weather and the fact that it makes shooting portraits of young soccer players really enjoyable. I worked with the talented athletes at the Faison Recreation Soccer League last week. I photographed seven different teams from varying age levels and did live action photographs and some composites. A composite photo is when you add something to a photograph that really wasn't there. Some players had difficulty kicking a soccer ball without hitting me, so I had them pretend to kick a soccer ball and I added a ball later during editing. Some players have short attention spans when we take the photographs, so in some cases, I had to edit players heads from one photo to another to make it look like they were paying attention. Some of the players forgot to wear their uniform and I even edited a jersey on one of the players.
