I often travel to many locations in the great state of North Carolina including Raleigh, Greenville, Goldsboro, Wilmington and the Outer Banks to do senior, sports and family portraits. Last weekend, I traveled to the Outer Banks of North Carolina to take Andrew's senior pictures. I decided to go to the old site of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in order to get good angles of the lighthouse for his portraits. The sun was in a great spot and gave us excellent back lighting! I took advantage of that in several of the frames and it totally delivered at sunset, as it later turned to robust oranges and pinks. The beach was beautiful as surfers populated the waves and the tourists walked around picking up shells. I really love doing portraits at the beach because of access to the horizon, which you don't often get inland because of the trees. Fall is the perfect time for senior portraits because of it's milder temperatures and great colors! My calendar for November is almost full, so book your portrait session as soon as possible to get favorable times.

Patty Hill - Kirk, you are such an awesome and passionate photographer! My son had a fantastic senior portrait session with you. The weather was perfect and the sunset was unbelievable. You were able to capture not only my son's personality, but also the unrivaled beauty of the beach in Buxton, NC. My son was initially very nervous going into the photo session, but you made him feel comfortable and relaxed. Thanks for a wonderful experience that will be a part of my son's memories of his Senior year.
