This is by far the busiest year that I've ever had, since I started this photo business in 2007! I work really long hours to supply the portrait needs of eastern North Carolina! I won't be slowing down next year, because I just added another local High School, to my list of clients who want my photo services.
Faison Recreation is also having their biggest year ever, with a great number of athletes and teams participating in their sports programs. I photographed the soccer, volleyball and cheer teams back in April. Because of the number of games going on at the soccer field and gymnasium, the recreation director decided to do all the sports portraits at Faison Methodist Church in Faison, NC. I want to thank them for letting use their facilities for all the portraits.
I used a highly reflective floor and a metallic mesh-like background for all the team and individual portraits. It was hard to keep the reflective floor from showing scuff marks from the soccer cleats that were walking on it. I was constantly cleaning the floor and had to sweep it off. There were so many athletes in these sports, that it took 4 days to photograph them all. Needless to say, that I was worn out by the last day. It also took quite a long time to edit that many photos.
I really try to go the extra mile to provide dynamic sports portraits. I hope that my clients can see the difference in the images that I create for them.
